Inviting Squamish area new Grade 7s for the 2023/2024 school year and their families to the "Welcome to Middle School" open house event at Don Ross Middle School on Wednesday, May 17th, from 4 - 5:30 pm. Come tour the school, meet the staff, check out the available clubs and eat some snacks!

Approximately 48 Squamish students are participating in the musical’s production, which debuts on May 10 after months of preparation.

The Squamish Youth Council initiative saw Howe Sound Secondary walk away with the $10,000 grant funding.

As community partners, we are very excited to acknowledge the official opening of the new Foundry Centre in Squamish. Foundry is a province-wide network of integrated health and social service centres providing young people ages 12 -24 with a safe and judgment-free environment where they can feel comfortable asking for help and accessing services they need, including support with mental health and additions. A few members of the SD48 team were proud to attend the opening ceremony for the Foundry Sea to Sky on March 31, 2023. We look forward to our continued partnership with them and other community partners in supporting Squamish youth. Read more about this event.

On Thursday, March 9th, 2023, students of St’a7mes put hemlock and cedar boughs into the mouth of the sound to welcome in the lhwatt (herring). Learn more about this exciting day.
